What's New for the 2019 Jeep Renegade?
This year is big for the Renegade, which is the smallest of the Jeep SUVs out there. It received a complete refresh while maintaining all of the things people love about it. When looking at the new 2019 Renegade, you will notice that the front and rear fascias have been modernized. Drivers will have new exterior paint colors to choose from, new wheel designs, and have the option of adding LED headlights and taillights. In 2019, there will continue to be four well-equipped trim levels to choose from - Sport, Latitude, Limited, and Trailhawk. The first three trims come with front-wheel-drive standard but can be upgraded to all-wheel-drive. At the top of the Renegade line, the Trailhawk comes with all-wheel-drive standard.
There will be two powertrain options available in 2019. The base engine is a 2.4-liter four-cylinder one that is naturally aspirated and capable of 180-horsepower and 175 lb-ft of torque. Also available is a turbocharged 1.3-liter four-cylinder engine. This engine is standard on the Limited and Trailhawk trims and optional on the Sport and Latitude models. With this new engine option, the Jeep Renegade is expected to get better gas mileage than ever. There will no longer be a manual transmission offered. Each trim and engine combination will come equipped with an automatic 9-speed transmission. Inside the new Renegade, Jeep redesigned the cabin to be more functional. Despite being the smallest SUV in the line, this vehicle offers plenty of space. The amount of headroom, in particular, continues to be impressive. You will find that all of the controls you may need are easy to reach and use, including the touchscreen and climate controls.
