Take a Look Inside
The Pacifica stands out in its styling with its large windows, but a look inside is even more impressive. From its elegant, windswept dashboard to its wide, comfortable seats, to its sound-absorbing materials for a quiet cabin, there's a lot to love inside. There's comfortable, spacious seating for seven or eight along three rows. Better yet, these seats fold flush with the floor, saving your back from having to remove the seats when you want to haul furniture. Even the third-row seats have enough leg and head room for adults. The tech feels futuristic, with a dial to choose transmission gears Park, Reverse, or Neutral and a button for the parking brake.
Chrysler didn't skimp on the tech you'll find inside either. Standard features include dual-zone manual climate control, remote keyless entry, rearview camera, rear parking sensors, and blind spot monitoring with rear cross traffic alert. The infotainment is one Chrysler Uconnect with 7-inch touch screen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, six-speaker stereo, USB port, Bluetooth, and voice controls. Other available options include convenient and fun features like UConnect theater, 13-speaker Alpine premium sound system, tri-pane panoramic sunroof, and Stow ?n Vac integrated vacuum cleaner.
Good, Better, Best Fuel Economy
Minivans aren't known for being fuel efficient. But the Pacifica does well for its class. This minivan gets 18 city miles and 28 highway miles per gallon. That's well above average for minivans. On top of that, with the optional engine stop-start feature, you can bump that mileage up to 19 city and 28 highway mpg. If you really want the best in fuel economy, there's also a Pacifica Hybrid. This plug-in hybrid can go the first 33 miles without using a drop of gasoline. After that, the Hybrid gets an astounding 84 MPGe.
Handles Like a Small Sedan
Any minivan worth its salt has a comfortable ride, but the Chrysler Pacifica is also a nimble vehicle with responsive steering and brakes. Though the footprint of this vehicle is pretty large, crowded parking lots won't be too much for the Pacifica. Combine those features with the capable 3.6-liter V6 engine that produces 287 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque, and you'll be sitting pretty. The 9-speed automatic transmission has ironed out its earlier idiosyncrasies and now delivers smooth shifting between gears. For a minivan this size, body roll while cornering is minimal. Overall, we find the Pacifica to be a smooth, unhassled ride.
If you're looking for a relaxing but fun environment while still covering ground in peace, the Chrysler Pacifica is a strong choice. Plus, the Pacifica has some of the best gas mileage numbers in its pack.
