The 2018 Jeep Renegade got a boost in technology over its predecessors. New for the model year, the Renegade now comes standard with Bluetooth for smartphone synching, rearview camera, and 5-inch touchscreen. These join other standard features like push-button start, power-adjustable driver seat, and six-speaker sound system with USB port.
The Renegade also sports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto now. These handy features pair your smartphone with the car, so your iPhone or Android mobile shows on the display screen in your car, giving you access to all the phone apps you love even when you're on the go. You can now upgrade to a 7-inch or 8.4-inch screen with Navigation. No matter the size of the screen, it's housed in a ergonomically re-designed center console.
Off-Roading in a Small Package
The Jeep Renegade may only be 14 feet long, but this little Jeep can really haul. This SUV-that-could can tow up to 2,000 pounds when properly configured. Hit the gas and watch the Renegade go zero to 60 in 9.1 seconds. Drivers like its low-end power, which means acceleration is quick as soon as you push the accelerator. But where the Renegade really shines is off-roading, especially its Trailhawk trim level.
All trims of the Renegade are available with four-wheel drive and the Selec-Terrain system, which matches performance to terrain type and permits general off-roading. Meanwhile, high ground clearance keeps you moving while protecting the car's underside. If you want something even better, check out the Trailhawk trim, which comes standard with full-time four-wheel drive with low-range gearing, increased ride height, hill-descent control, skid plates, all-terrain tires, and tow hooks.
