Opting for this engine unlocks all-wheel drive as a transmission option, which comes in handy when accelerating over slick pavement. And while the fuel economy isn't anything to write home about, no one can accuse it of gas-guzzling either. The Journey's 19 city miles and 25 highway miles per gallon is about average for the midsize SUV class. Let the naysayers say nay, but the Dodge Journey will easily get you from A to B with some pizzazz.
Keep the Kids Happy & You Sane

The Dodge Journey makes your trip easier with one of the best infotainment systems in its class. The UConnect infotainment system comes standard with a USB port and six-speaker audio system. And we'd wager you'll be happy with UConnect, since it's easily one of the most intuitive systems out there. Android Auto and Apple CarPlay aren't available in the Journey, but you might not miss them too much with available satellite radio, Bluetooth, and 9-inch DVD player. You can also upgrade the Uconnect system with an 8.4-inch touch screen and navigation.
Happy, Sane, and Safe
The 2018 Dodge Journey received an average 3 out of 5 score from J.D. Power and Associates for reliability. That won't knock your socks off, but it's not a bad score by any means either. But where the Journey shines brighter is in its safety ratings. To be specific, the Journey received four out of five stars in the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's frontal crash and rollover tests. Meanwhile, in the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety tests, this Dodge earned a rating of Good (the highest score) in four tests.
What the car critics don't seem to understand is that plenty of folks don't need or even want a lot of bells and whistles if it means paying thousands of dollars more. And that's the comfortable place where the Dodge Journey resides.
